Heaven + Home brings together four artists whose practices explore notions of refuge, imagination, and the spaces—real and imagined—that shape our sense of belonging.

Through painting, collage, and sculptural form, the exhibition reflects on home as both a physical place and an emotional state, and heaven as moments of wonder, stillness, and light. Jo Dunsmuir’s oil paintings capture the quiet intimacy of still lifes and local landscapes; Michelle Harvey’s ethereal cloudscapes drift between abstraction and intuition; Sally Forrester’s luminous bio-resin vessels transform colour and light into tactile objects of contemplation; and Anne Deane’s collage works draw from her daughter’s dreamlands and the intimate rhythms of her home garden.

Together, these works offer gentle meditations on domestic spaces as havens—sites of comfort, imagination, and joy—while also gesturing toward the heavens above. Heaven & Home invites viewers to pause, reflect, and consider where sanctuary lives in their own lives.
